The bloomer is part of our traditional range.
There is no certain explanation as to how this very popular loaf got its name. Bread historians argue that it may be because of the way it is left to bloom during the rising and baking process, as opposed to being confined to a tin. It could have been named after Amelia Bloomer the woman cyclist who popularised the bloomers as a mode of dress for female cyclists, either way it is one of our most popular loaves.
We make a white, malted or wholemeal bloomer, all very good for sandwiches and toast.
